Illinois Is Facing Real Challenges

Dupage Needs Engaged Citizens Now

These are real issues affecting your family, your property values, and your quality of life right now.

Rising Property Taxes

DuPage County homeowners carry a median property tax rate of 2.16% — more than double the national average of 1.02% — with the average annual bill reaching $7,578. As school district levies, special service area assessments, and county taxes continue rising, residents are paying more every year with little relief in sight.

Transparency Concerns

DuPage County residents fund a complex web of overlapping taxing districts, school levies, and TIF funds with limited unified public accounting. While the County Board has kept its own levy flat, the combined burden on homeowners continues to grow with little accessible explanation of where every dollar goes and who is accountable when spending falls short.

Education

DuPage County parents deserve a stronger voice in decisions affecting their children — from curriculum direction and school boundaries to how district budgets are set and spent. With some of Illinois' highest per-pupil spending, residents have every right to demand that their schools remain accountable to the families who fund and trust them.

Public Safety

DuPage County's safe communities are increasingly feeling the pressure of Chicago's crime spillover along our eastern border. As Cook County's soft-on-crime policies and revolving-door justice push criminal activity into the suburbs, DuPage residents need community leaders who will demand strong local law enforcement, oppose policies that import Chicago's crime problems, and protect the safe neighborhoods families moved here to raise their children in
